NU Smile Dental Centers was founded in 1999 by Drs. Sepideh Moein and Ali Riazi. For nearly a decade, our dentists and support staff have provided aesthetic and restorative dental care for families in the Costa Mesa area. During this time, we have set a new standard for patient care, creating a dental practice that is large enough to accommodate all of our patients’ cosmetic and general dentistry needs, but small enough to allow us to devote the time and energy needed to produce the best results possible. Today, our dentists maintain this standard by seeing only one patient at a time and never pressing unnecessary treatments. We are proud of this standard of care and, most of all, of the exceptional results we have achieved for our community.

Our Mission

At NU Smile Dental Centers, our goal is to make our patients’ dental experiences as comfortable and stress-free as possible. To that end, we do our best to accommodate the needs of each patient from start to finish. For those with anxiety about visiting the dentist, we utilize a revolutionary device called the Wand® for the painless injection of anesthesia. We also provide sedation dentistry with nitrous oxide which allows our dentists to perform treatments as patients rest in a state of deep relaxation. Adults who are seeking comprehensive care for themselves as well as their children can be confident that we will go out of our way to make sure their families are well taken care of. For our patients with hectic work schedules, we even make scheduling easy with flexible appointment hours. Our consultations are free, and we ask that any cancellations be made at least 24 hours in advance of scheduled appointment times or a fee may be applied.

Meet the Doctors

Sepideh Moein, D.D.S.

Dr. Sepideh Moein has spent most of her career serving the communities of Orange County. She began her education at the University of Southern California, receiving her D.D.S. from the USC School of Dentistry in 1993. Following graduation, Dr. Moein entered private practice, operating out of an office in Orange County for several years before opening her current practice in Costa Mesa. Throughout her career, she has offered both general and cosmetic dentistry, treating adults and children alike. Now, at NU Smile Dental Centers, Dr. Moein concentrates on the aesthetic aspect of dentistry, creating beautiful smiles by means of an assortment of cosmetic dentistry solutions, including porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, composite fillings, and more. She is a certified Invisalign® dentist and LUMINEERS® expert with many years of experience.

Dr. Moein is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), and the Orange County Dental Society (OCDS). To keep up with the latest advances in modern cosmetic dentistry, she regularly takes classes and attends meetings sponsored by dental groups across the state.

Ali Riazi, D.D.S.

Dr. Ali Riazi assists patients with their general and restorative dentistry needs, including dental implants, root canals, endodontics, extractions, dentures, and implant supported dentures and bridges.

After earning his master's degree in biomedical engineering, Dr. Riazi obtained his dental degree from the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry in San Francisco where he graduated with honors. He remained in San Francisco to complete one year of hospital residency.

Dr. Riazi is a member of the American Academy of Laser Dentistry. Laser technology allows him to provide many patients with the most precise and comfortable dental treatments possible.

Dr. Riazi also offers treatments using oral or conscious sedation to minimize the fear and anxiety that some patients experience when visiting the dentist.

Dr Riazi has two children and has resided in our community since 1997.
